Today I heard a spot on a local radio station. It was promoting the local Fox station’s story on a regional uptick in drivers under the influence of drugs, “NOT ALCOHOL!”. The narrator had an authoritative, urgent tone. He practically shouted his lines. The  message- which was already tersely phrased- boiled down to something like CRAZY PEOPLE OUT THERE! GOING OUTSIDE IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN EVER! 

With a muted reassurance that the police are “doing something” about it.
